Meteorology renews warnings of floods, landslides across Yemen

SANAA, April 07 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning on Tuesday renewed its warnings to citizens over the dangers of flash flooding in rural areas and valleys, urging the public to avoid flood channels and refrain from crossing them during or after rainfall.

In its weather bulletin, the center also cautioned against potential rockfalls and mudslides on mountainous roads, as well as thunderstorms, advising people to keep away from trees, elevated areas, and electricity poles during unstable weather conditions.

It also urged motorists to exercise caution while driving on mountainous roads and slopes due to reduced horizontal visibility caused by rainfall and fog formation.
