TEHRAN, April 07 (YPA) – Iran’s police have dismantled a major network tied to a hostile intelligence service following a large‑scale, coordinated security operation across 25 provinces, the Commander-in-chief of the Iranian police Brig. Gen. Ahmad-Reza Radan, said.
According to Iran’s state‑linked Tasnim news agency, quoting the police commander, the operation resulted in the arrest of 85 suspected network members who were allegedly collecting and transmitting sensitive information—including locations of public service facilities, critical infrastructure, checkpoints, security barriers, and security force positions—with the intent of facilitating hostile activities.
He stated that the intelligence was being sent to what he called the American-Zionist enemy to aid military operations. Authorities also seized advanced electronic equipment, including Starlink devices, as well as weapons, ammunition, and other related materials.
The police chief confirmed that investigations were ongoing and said the confessions of the suspects, along with details of their communications and cooperation with hostile parties, would be made public soon.
He further highlighted the critical role of citizens in the operation’s success.
