TAIZ, April. 04 (YPA) – Tariq Saleh’s forces are carrying out large-scale military deployments in Al-Hadara market of Al-Wazaiyah district, west of Taiz province, following bloody clashes with members of Al-Mashawla tribes, activist sources reported.
The sources confirmed that the militants stormed the health unit and the area’s school, turning them into military barracks, amidst direct targeting of the area’s residents, especially women and children.
In addition, Tariq Saleh’s forces have imposed a suffocating siege on the villages of Hanna in Al-Wazaiyah since last Thursday, preventing the movement of citizens and shopping, which has exacerbated the humanitarian suffering.
It should be noted that approximately 20 families have been displaced in recent days, and those remaining in Hanna and Lower Al-Rawiyah areas face direct threats of shelling.
The sources stated that clashes resulted in the death of one of the area’s residents and the injury of four others, including women.
Tariq Saleh’s forces also launched a widespread kidnapping campaign, targeting dozens, including two soldiers in the “Southern Giants,” who were arrested simply for performing their humanitarian duty of transporting a dead person to the health unit, the sources added.
Consequently, residents of Hanna area in Al-Wazaiyah are calling on human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently to stop the violations committed against them by Tariq Saleh’s forces.
