TEHRAN, April 03 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday that the American company “Oracle” had been targeted in the UAE in response to an attempted assassination of Dr. Kamal Kharazi.
In a statement cited by the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC’s public relations office said the strike on Oracle was carried out in retaliation for the attempt on the lives of Dr. Kharazi and his wife.
“As we have previously warned, in response to the assassination of Iranian figures, we will target espionage and artificial intelligence companies that serve as pillars of the enemy’s terrorist operations,” the statement said.
It added: “Following the destruction of the cloud computing infrastructure of the American company Amazon in response to the assassination of Brigadier Fateh Alizadeh, today the data center and computing infrastructure of the American company Oracle, based in the UAE, was also targeted in response to the assassination attempt on Dr. Kharazi and his wife.”
The statement further warned that “if such crimes are repeated and another assassination occurs, the next company will face a decisive response.”
On February 28, the statement added, the United States and Israeli enemy launched a new wave of attacks against Iran that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and targeted schools, hospitals, mosques, and other civilian infrastructure.
In response, Iran launched an operation called “True Promise 4” targeting Israeli assets and U.S. bases in the region.
