IRGC targets US military personnel gathering in UAE with ballistic missiles

TEHRAN, April 03 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced early this morning the launch of a series of intensive missile and aerial strikes targeting multiple military sites and critical infrastructure across several southern Gulf states. The operation also reportedly included attacks on US military movements in the Indian Ocean.

In a statement, the IRGC public relations office said that since early Friday, April 3, the IRGC Navy, as part of the 91st wave of Operation True Promise 4, had launched heavy attacks using a large number of Qadir ballistic and cruise missiles as well as suicide drones against military and infrastructure targets belonging to American and Zionist forces in southern Persian Gulf countries.

According to the statement, the US Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group in the northern Indian Ocean was also targeted with four Qadr-380 cruise missiles.

It added that in the second phase of the operation, a “secret gathering point” of American flight engineers and fighter jet pilots located outside one of the enemy’s bases in the United Arab Emirates was precisely struck with ballistic missiles.

Field reports indicate that a significant number of US military personnel were killed and wounded, with intense ambulance and rescue activity observed at the site.

The IRGC further said that another heavy assault targeted US “MQ1” drone units at Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait.

The statement emphasized that all traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is being monitored by IRGC naval systems, warning that even the slightest hostile movement would be met with a decisive response.

It concluded by stating that any insecurity affecting navigation in the strategic waterway is the result of the “criminal and terrorist aggression” of the United States.
