SANAA, March 26 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi emphasized that the Yemeni people chose the “path of steadfastness” against what he described as the “US-Saudi aggression,” asserting that surrender would have led to catastrophic consequences for freedom and dignity.
In a speech delivered this Thursday marking the “National Steadfastness Day” as the conflict enters its eleventh year, Sayyed Al-Houthi stated that the “aggression” remains ongoing despite the recent de-escalation in intensity, accusing the Saudi-led coalition of continuing to occupy vast areas, maintaining the blockade, and depriving the Yemeni people of their national resources.
Sayyed Al-Houthi characterized the Saudi regime’s policies toward Yemen as “deep-seated hostility” spanning decades, noting that its alignment with US and Israeli agendas has exacerbated the crisis and conspiracies against the internal front.
He called on the Saudi regime to cease its hostile approach and decouple itself from external agendas, stressing that achieving full control over the Yemeni people or stripping them of their freedom is “absolutely impossible.”
The speech concluded with a review of the statistics regarding casualties and losses over the past years, with stressing that persisting in this path imposes significant burdens on the Saudi regime without achieving its objectives.
