IRGC destroys US aircraft hangars at Al-Dhafra, Sheikh Isa Bases

TEHRAN, March 17 (YPA) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a complex military operation involving missiles and drones targeting US fighter jet hangars at the Al-Dhafra and Sheikh Isa airbases.

According to the statement, the attack—utilizing high-explosive cruise missiles—resulted in the destruction of the hangars and caused significant damage to the operational capacity of Al-Dhafra and the logistical facilities at Sheikh Isa.

The IRGC clarified that the strikes were in response to attacks launched from these bases against Iranian islands, asserting that operations will continue until US bases are fully evacuated.

The statement also issued an urgent warning to residents in surrounding areas to stay away from US installations for their safety, amid reports of thick smoke rising from the targeted maintenance workshops.
