MICHIGAN, March 13 (YPA) – U.S. media outlets reported that police in Michigan are responding to a shooting and vehicle‑ramming incident at “Temple Israel”, a synagogue that also houses a Jewish school.
Law enforcement officers, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have cordoned off the area as they manage what was initially described as an active shooter situation.
Eyewitnesses said a person drove a vehicle into the building before shots were fired. Fire and smoke were visible at the scene, but officials have not yet released full details about what occurred inside.
Later updates indicated that the suspected attacker was shot dead during the confrontation, and at least one security officer was injured; no children or staff were seriously harmed. Authorities are continuing their investigation and urging the public to avoid the area.
