TEHRAN, March 09 (YPA) – Millions of Iranians from different segments of society gathered on Monday to participate in a public swearing-in ceremony for the new leader of the revolution in the capital, Tehran, and across various provinces, chanting slogans of loyalty and allegiance to Mojtaba Khamenei.
In a massive rally, the participants included university students and members of scientific institutions, mobilization personnel, shopkeepers and merchants, officials from different levels of government, as well as scientific elites, religious scholars, imams of congregational and Friday prayers, and others, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.
Similar ceremonies were held simultaneously in several Iranian cities and provinces, where citizens from different backgrounds gathered to declare their allegiance and support for Mojtaba Khamenei.
The crowds carried Iranian flags along with portraits of Imam Shahid Khamenei and images of the new leader of the revolution.
The demonstrators also raised slogans condemning what they described as the crimes of the United States and Israel during the 12-day war, the events referred to as the January 2026 sedition, and the current attacks being carried out against the people.
Through their chants, attendees affirmed that they would not back down, stating that the enemy had once again miscalculated and would ultimately face defeat.
The ceremony’s program also included poetry recitations and the collective reading of the pledge text.
