Israeli violations continue in Gaza despite ceasefire

GAZA, March 08 (YPA) -The Israeli occupation army continued its violations of the ceasefire on its 150th day across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestinian sources, an Israeli drone targeted the southern area of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, while Israeli artillery shelling hit several areas in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Israeli gunboats also fired heavy machine guns and some projectiles towards Gaza City’s coastal area, while intermittent artillery shelling targeted the northwestern areas of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier on Saturday evening, Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward eastern areas of Gaza City.

In a related development, one Palestinian was killed and another injured after an Israeli strike targeted a group of civilians near Al-Halabi Roundabout in the northern Gaza Strip.

Since the ceasefire (October 11), the total number of martyrs has reached 649, in addition to 1,707 injured, with a total of 753 casualties retrieved.

Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023, the total number of martyrs has reached 72,123 and 1,717,805 injured.
