British Army, Air Force conduct exercises in preparation for deployment in Ukraine

LONDON, Feb. 26 (YPA) – British Defence Secretary John Healey announced that the British Army and Royal Air Force are conducting exercises to prepare for deployment to Ukraine as part of the so-called “Coalition of the Willing” forces.

 

In his address to the British Parliament, Healey said: “The British Army and Royal Air Force are currently conducting preparatory exercises. £200 million has also been allocated to equip our armed forces for deployment.”

 

He indicated that the specific structure of the force would not be announced until a peace agreement is reached and would be consistent with the requirements of that peace.

 

On Tuesday, the Coalition of the Willing countries confirmed, during a meeting, that their intention to send troops to Ukraine under “security guarantees.”
