Araghchi: Iran will not give up its right to benefit from peaceful nuclear technology

TEHRAN, Feb. 24 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Tuesday that his country will resume negotiations with the United States in Geneva with “will and determination” to reach a fair and equitable agreement in the shortest possible time based on previous understandings.

Araghchi emphasized that while “Tehran will not seek to develop nuclear weapons, it will not relinquish its right to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.”

The Iranian minister stated that a “precedented” agreement is possible—one that dispels mutual concerns and secures shared interests—provided that diplomacy is prioritized.

He affirmed that Iran, having defended its sovereignty, will show the same “courage” at the negotiating table to resolve disputes through peaceful channels.
