Hamas: Israeli homes’ demolition in West Bank in systematic assault against Palestinian existence

GAZA, Feb. 18 (YPA) -The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation’s escalation of home demolitions in the West Bank continues to escalate, in a systematic assault on the Palestinian existence, the latest of which was the demolition of an inhabited residential building south of Hebron city today.

“These aggressive policies will only strengthen our people’s attachment to their land, and will not succeed in uprooting them or forcing them to leave, despite the escalating aggression and settlement-colonial projects aimed at expelling them,” Hamas said in a statement.

“This latest demolition comes under the framework of the occupation’s policy of collective punishment and as part of its ongoing crimes, which since the beginning of this year have targeted some 55 Palestinian homes, coinciding with the displacement and annexation plans aimed at undermining the Palestinian existence,” the statement read.

Hamas affirmed that these occupation plans are doomed to fail and will be shattered by the will, steadfastness, and resistance of our people.

The movement called for activating popular resistance committees in all areas across the West Bank to confront the occupation and settlers’ crimes.
