OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Feb. 16 (YPA) – The newspaper Yediot Aharonot reported yesterday, that police have questioned a rabbi from the northern region in recent weeks on suspicion of committing sexual offenses against a woman who studied at the Torah school he headed.
According to the accusations against him, the rabbi exploited his position, influence, and the trust that developed between him and a married student and her family to persuade her to have a child with him, based on claims of “spiritual revelation.”
The accusations indicated that the rabbi had been meeting with the student for many years since 2013 at his home and other locations, in meetings that included sexual relations.
The complaint against the rabbi was filed with the police about two years ago, in 2024, and since then a court order has been in place prohibiting the publication of his name.
