Netanyahu’s plane crosses airspace of 3 ICC member states without obstruction

OCCUPIED QUDS, Feb. 15 (YPA) – Flight tracking data revealed that the aircraft of Israeli occupation’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu crossed the airspace of three European countries—all members of the International Criminal Court (ICC)—during his trip to the United States last week, without any legal measures or restrictions imposed on its movement.

“Gaps in Executing Arrest Warrants”

According to the data, the flight path traversed the airspace of Greece, Italy, and France, all of which are signatories to the “Rome Statute” and are legally bound to cooperate with the Court and execute its arrest warrants.

This occurrence follows the ICC’s issuance of an arrest warrant for Netanyahu on charges related to war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

“Political and Legal Dimensions”

This incident, which recurred following a similar trip in December 2025, has raised significant legal and political questions, most notably:

  • Netanyahu’s continued aerial mobility highlights a stark divide between international legal mandates and the actual enforcement mechanisms of member states.
  • Observers argue that the silence of these nations undermines the ICC’s image as an entity capable of upholding international justice independent of Western political alliances.
  • No attempts to close airspace or intercept the aircraft were recorded, reflecting a prioritization of political calculations over treaty obligations to international jurisdiction.
