Massive rally in Sweida demands release of kidnapped

DAMASCUS, Feb. 14 (YPA) – A massive protest rally was held on Wednesday in the city of Shahba in the countryside of the Sweida province in southern Syria demanding the right of self-determination and the release of abductees and abductees by the forces of the Syrian transitional government.

Hundreds of people participated raised slogans calling for the disclosure of the fate of the detainees and their return, and the return of the displaced to their areas of origin, stressing their adherence to their political and social rights and rejection of the continuation of violations.

The demonstration came as part of a series of ongoing protests in Sweida province, where residents continue their popular movements to express their demands to end their suffering and ensure their civil rights, in light of ongoing security and living tension in the region.
