SAADA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – Two civilians were killed and 11 others were injured in the past two days as a result of attacks carried out by the Saudi border guards on border areas in Saada governorate.
Security of Saada province explained that the attacks targeted the districts of Shada, Baqim, and Qatabir with direct gunfire and mortar shells, resulting in the death of citizen Abdullah Abdul Wahid Saeed (30 years old) after being shot, in addition to injuring nine citizens with serious injuries.
The Saudi border guards opened fire in Baqim district on citizen Nasser Abdo Al-Husseini (24 years old), resulting in a fatal injury from which he died, the security added.
It indicated that another citizen and an African migrant were injured by shrapnel from mortar shells that targeted Qatabir district, noting that all the injured were rescued and transferred to health facilities for treatment.
The governorate security confirmed that these attacks represent a flagrant violation of international laws and norms, and fall within the systematic and ongoing crimes against the people of Saada, especially the residents of the border districts and areas.
