Gunmen affiliated with military brigade raid private residence in Taiz

TAIZ, Feb. 10 (YPA) – Armed individuals affiliated with the so-called “170th Brigade” under the command of Al-Qaisi al-Mikhlafi stormed a residential neighborhood in Taiz on Tuesday morning, in a new violation of private property rights.

The attackers targeted a private home, causing widespread panic among women and children.

Viral footage captured by activists shows the gunmen shattering windows and issuing threats to the residents. The property owner stated that the assault was a “retaliatory act” after he documented the group’s attempt to seize his land and begin illegal construction. He emphasized that the dispute is currently pending before the judiciary.

The incident has sparked a wave of public indignation. Residents issued an urgent appeal to security forces to immediately apprehend those involved, and to the axis command to curb the excesses of armed groups using military status to plunder property and intimidate civilians.

Protesters are demanding that the perpetrators be held legally accountable to ensure public safety and protect citizens’ rights from further encroachment.
