Hezbollah condemns Israeli occupation violations in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Feb. 09 (YPA) – Hezbollah condemned, on Monda, the continued Israeli occupation’s violations in various areas of southern Lebanon.

In a statement, the party denounced Israeli incursion into town of Habbarieh in Hasbaya district of southern Lebanon, and the abduction of the Islamic Group’s official in Hasbaya and Marjeyoun regions, Atwi Atwi, from his home, after assaulting him and terrorizing his family.

In addition, Hezbollah condemned two attacks that targeted a car in the town of Yanouh, which resulted in the martyrdom of three people, including a child, and also the martyrdom of a citizen in the town of Aita al-Shaab.

It affirmed that the criminal nature of the occupation relies on killing, terrorism, and piracy, disregarding Lebanon’s sovereignty, describing this development as the beginning of a new phase of “Israeli lawlessness and aggression” based on incursions, kidnappings, and abductions, which exposes the residents of the south to direct danger and a constant threat.

Hezbollah also called on the Lebanese government to fully assume its national responsibilities, in accordance with its ministerial statement, and to break its silence and inaction by taking deterrent measures and firm, clear positions.

Previously, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of three people, including a child, following an Israeli drone strike on the town of Yanouh in southern Lebanon, while a fourth Lebanese citizen was martyred by Israeli army fire in the town of Aita al-Shaab.
