Hamas: Israeli cabinet approved new resolutions aims at imposing false sovereignty

GAZA, Feb. 09 (YPA) – The Hamas movement stated on Sunday that the Zionist enemy’s cabinet approval of new measures targeting Palestinian land and people in the West Bank—including land confiscation, the opening of real estate records in favor of settlers, and attempts to undermine the authority of Palestinian municipalities and national institutions, particularly the Hebron Municipality—has fallen within what it described as a fascist settlement policy and a comprehensive annexation plan.

In a statement, the movement said these actions are part of a broader campaign of extermination and ethnic cleansing pursued by what it called the enemy’s extremist government, aimed at imposing false sovereignty and altering geographic and legal realities on the ground.

The statement renewed its call for national unity and agreement on a unified program to confront the occupation and its settlement projects.

It urged Palestinians, especially youth in the West Bank and Al Quds, to escalate confrontation with Israeli forces and settlers by all available means to thwart annexation, Judaization, and displacement plans.

The movement’s statement asserted that the Palestinian people will not accept these occupation policies, will continue to uphold their historical rights, and will remain committed to resistance as a path to ending the occupation.

It added that the legitimacy of the land is established through the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and that such decisions will not grant the occupation ownership over any part of the land.

Hamas also called on Arab and Islamic countries to assume their historical responsibilities in confronting Israeli plans to impose the annexation of the West Bank as a fait accompli. It urged these countries to take practical and serious steps, including severing relations with Israel and expelling its ambassadors, in order to form a unified Arab and Islamic stance aligned with the aspirations of their peoples and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

In addition, the movement demanded that the United Nations and the international community exert genuine and effective pressure on Israel to halt its violations and aggression, and to hold it accountable for what it described as ongoing crimes against Palestinian land and people.
