‘Israeli’ forces carry out multiple raids across West Bank, occupied Quds (Jerusalem)

WEST BANK, Jan. 31 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of raids early Saturday across multiple cities and villages in the occupied West Bank and East occupied Quds (Jerusalem), detaining numerous Palestinians and assaulting others, according to local reports.

In Nablus, large numbers of Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Awarta, southeast of the city, conducting extensive house searches and damaging property.

Raids were also reported in the villages of Tal and Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, where confrontations broke out, leading to cases of tear gas inhalation.

In the Ramallah area, Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Ein Qiniya to the west, searching homes and detaining civilian vehicles. A military checkpoint was also set up at the entrance to the nearby village of Ein ‘Arik.

In Hebron, settlers, reportedly under the protection of occupation forces, carried out a series of attacks targeting homes in several Bedouin communities in and around the city.

In Tubas, the occupation forces raided several neighborhoods at dawn, deploying soldiers, foot patrols, and snipers.

In occupied East occupied Quds (Jerusalem), clashes erupted near Qalandia checkpoint and in areas north of the city. Israeli forces fired live and rubber-coated bullets, wounding a worker as he attempted to reach his workplace.

These arrests come amid ongoing escalation, with reports indicating that the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails has exceeded 9,350 as of early January 2026.
