Al-Barsh: There is 11% decrease in birth rate, occupation forces steal kidneys of martyrs

GAZA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir al-Barsh, confirmed, on Saturday, that 60% of those killed by the occupation after the ceasefire were children and women.

In a press statement, al-Barsh indicated that there is a decrease in the birth rate of 11%, and that the occupation’s claim of 60,000 births is a lie.

He also affirmed that the occupation kills children in their wombs, and that last year witnessed the killing of 60 fetuses, pointing out that the health situation in the Strip is very dire and has collapsed due to the occupation.

Meanwhile, he emphasized that the occupation army steals the kidneys of martyrs in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, Al-Barsh demanded the opening of the crossings, the entry of medical supplies, and securing the exit of the wounded for treatment.

On October 8, 2023, “Israel” began a two-year genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 71,000 martyrs and more than 171,000 wounded Palestinians, and massive destruction affecting 90% of the infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at approximately $70 billion.
