Mass protests held in USA against immigration office after murdering 2 citizens

WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 (YPA) – Widespread popular protests erupted in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in one of the largest waves of demonstrations the city has seen in years, demanding an end to US President Donald Trump’s campaign against immigration and a halt to operations by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), following incidents that resulted in the deaths of two people.

These demonstrations took place amidst a severe cold wave, with temperatures reaching around -29 degrees Celsius, and involved workers and employees alongside thousands of protesters, after weeks of tensions and confrontations, some of which were violent, between protesters opposed to Trump’s strict immigration policies and ICE agents.

These protests broke out after ICE teams killed a US citizen on January 7th by shooting her inside her car during operations targeting immigrants in Minneapolis.

It should be noted that the protests will escalate in the coming days, after the same forces killed another person in Minneapolis last Saturday.

This came after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers forcibly tackled a person to the ground in an attempt to arrest him before shooting him, according to a video circulating on social media.
