Displaced soldier dies under torture in Islah prison in Marib

MARIB, Jan. 24 (YPA) – A new victim of torture has been reported in the prisons of the Islah forces in Marib city, according to media reports.

The victim has been identified as Yahya Mohammed Mohsen Al-Ghadari, a soldier in the 23rd Mecha Brigade of the First Military Region at Al-Ruwaik Camp, who had been displaced to Marib.

Media reports indicated that Al-Ghadari died under torture in the prison of the First Security Region in the city.

According to sources, he was lured to Suwaida camp under the pretext of receiving a food basket, where he was subsequently arrested on suspicion.

Authorities reportedly claimed that Al-Ghadari committed suicide by hanging. Meanwhile, his family was allegedly pressured to bury him without an autopsy, raising further concerns about transparency and accountability.
