SANAA, Aug. 2 (YPA) – An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the crimes of the Saudi-United Arab Emirates aggression against the Yemeni people, the latest of which was the targeting of Thawra Hospital’s gate in Hodeidah and the fish market at the fishing port, which killed and injured more than 150.
The source said that the crimes are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and war crimes against humanity as well as it will not be subject to statute of limitations.
The source stressed that the objective of the coalition is to exterminate the Yemeni people through direct targeting by warplanes or through the comprehensive blockade, preventing the arrival of humanitarian and therapeutic assistance, fuel and commercial materials as well as the continued ban on Sanaa International Airport.
The source blamed the international community, especially the Security Council, the five permanent members and the Group of 18, the sponsors of the political settlement process, for the continuation of the coalition in targeting civilians and their gatherings’ places .
The source also added that the coalition and its militiamen put obstacles to the peace process, pointing out that the crime of targeting the gate of Thawra hospital in Hodeidah hours before the briefing by the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Yemen ,Martin Griffith, before the Security Council is a clear message to society To find out who is blocking the peace process in Yemen.
The source also stressed that the continuation of the coalition in targeting civilians puts obstacles to repeated international and regional calls that there is no military solution in Yemen and the emphasis on a peaceful political solution.
