Khamenei accuses Trump of orchestrating recent “sedition,” vows accountability
TEHRAN, Jan. 17 (YPA) – Iranian SupremeLeader Ali Khamenei described U.S. President Donald Trump as a “criminal” in a speech on Saturday, holding him directly responsible for the loss of life, property damage, and the tarnishing of Iran’s reputation during the recent wave of protests.
Khamenei asserted that Trump was personally behind the recent “sedition,” noting that the incitement was “distinct” due to the U.S. President’s individual involvement.
He accused groups linked to the United States and “Israel” of causing thousands of deaths and significant material destruction during the unrest.
Iranian Supreme Leader emphasized that while Iran will not be dragged into a war, it “will not allow local or international criminals to escape punishment.”
Khamenei indicated that U.S. support for the protests served as a prelude to a larger planned operation aimed at destabilizing the country.
