Iran announces major tax cuts to bolster economic reforms
TEHRAN, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The Iranian Ministry of Economy has announced sweeping tax reductions aimed at supporting small businesses and stimulating market activity, in a strategic move to reform its fiscal system.
Under the new measures, approximately 90% of business categories have seen their tax rates slashed to zero. The ministry detailed that 98% of traders earning below 50 million tomans now fall within minimal tax brackets, while higher rates remain restricted to the top 2% of high-income earners.
These reforms reflect a broader governmental vision to achieve economic justice and foster sustainable growth across local markets.
