7 Soldiers from “Dera Al-Watan” forces killed, others injured in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Jan. 12 (YPA) – Seven soldiers from the Saudi-backed “Dera Al-Watan” forces were killed and four others critically injured in a head-on collision between their military vehicle and a heavy-duty truck on the international highway in the Al-Abr district, near the Al-Wade’ah junction in eastern Yemen.

The accident occurred while the personnel were engaged in a security mission within this strategic area connecting Hadramout and Marib provinces, where units of these forces are currently deployed.

This incident takes place amid a climate of political and field anticipation, as the military movements of the Dera Al-Watan in this sensitive region have raised concerns among “Islah Party” factions stationed in Marib regarding potential shifts in military influence over the party’s final strongholds in northeastern Yemen.
