BUENOS AIRES, Jan. 11 (YPA) – Argentina has suspended plans to move its embassy to occupied Jerusalem (Quds) following a diplomatic rift with “Israel”.
The tension escalated over plans by the Israeli firm “Navitas Petroleum” to conduct oil exploration in the disputed Falkland Islands.
Argentina condemned the move as “illegal” and a violation of UN resolutions, which prohibit unilateral actions while sovereignty negotiations with Britain remain ongoing.
Notably, the Argentine government had already banned Navitas from operating in the country in 2022 for engaging in unauthorized exploration activities.
