DHAMAR, Jan. 08 (YPA) – The Seismological and Volcanological Observatory Center in Dhamar Governorate announced this evening the magnitude of the earthquake that struck Hajjah Governorate in northern Yemen.
A statement issued by the center confirmed that its seismic monitoring stations recorded an earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale, noting that it occurred at 7:50 PM Sanaa time.

The statement indicated that the epicenter was located 14 kilometers southwest of Hajjah.
This announcement comes as part of the center’s ongoing monitoring of seismic activity in various Yemeni governorates, the region, and around the world.
