GAZA, Jan. 05 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement for the 87th consecutive day across various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli warplanes carried out three airstrikes on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces demolished residential buildings east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, while Israeli artillery shelled eastern Khan Younis and eastern Rafah in the south of the Strip.
Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward displaced persons’ tents in the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah.
The occupation forces also carried out demolition operations east of Gaza City.
In addition, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, while Israeli naval boats fired toward the western area of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp.
Over the past 24 hours, three citizens were killed in the southern Gaza Strip, including a fisherman.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, the total number of martyrs has reached 420, with 1,184 injuries recorded, while 684 bodies have been recovered.
