Israeli occupation forces continue ceasefire violations in Gaza

GAZA, Jan. 01 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continued its violations of the ceasefire agreement on its 83rd day, targeting various areas across the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City.

This coincided with artillery shelling and heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles east of the Tuffah neighborhood, also east of Gaza City.

Artillery shelling further targeted the center of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Israeli military vehicle fire struck homes and tents of displaced persons near Salah al-Din Street and adjacent to al-Bureij cemetery, south-east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The Israeli occupation aircraft conducted several airstrikes on the city of Rafah, accompanied by heavy gunfire north of the city.

On Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said 415 civilians have been killed and 1,152 others wounded by Israeli gunfire, shelling and attacks since the ceasefire went into effect.
