149 prisoners released in Hodeida as part of second batch

HODEIDA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The committee for addressing prison and prisoner issues in Sanaa has released 149 prisoners in Hodeida Governorate as a second batch, following the release of 108 prisoners three days ago.

This initiative aims to release a total of 736 prisoners during this week, in implementation of leadership directives coinciding with the occasion of “Rajab Friday.”

The chairman of the committee, Sheikh Ali Qarsha, explained that these releases followed a comprehensive review of files by judges from the Public Prosecution and the Judicial Inspection Authority to ensure legal eligibility.

Qarsha emphasized that these measures aim to promote justice and tolerance while maintaining community safety and protecting citizens’ rights, in accordance with both legal and Sharia regulations.
