Somali community in Sanaa protests Zionist recognition of “secessionist” region

SANAA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Somali community in the capital, Sanaa, organized a massive protest on Tuesday to condemn the Zionist entity’s recognition of a part of Somalia as an independent state, describing the move as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and national unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

A statement issued during the protest expressed a categorical rejection of any Zionist presence on Somali soil, warning that the Israeli occupation aims to fragment the Somali nation and sow discord to serve its agendas in the region and the Red Sea.

Participants declared their readiness to defend their homeland against normalization and partition projects, noting that this move is part of a broader conspiracy targeting the Arab and Islamic nations, similar to what is occurring in Gaza, Lebanon, and Sudan.

The statement also praised the stance of the Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in supporting Somalia’s unity and independence.

The community expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by Yemen’s leadership and people with the nation’s just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. Furthermore, they called upon the Somali Federal Government and the international community to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting the country’s unity and confronting “Netanyahu’s conspiracy” aimed at tearing the region apart.
