Sayyed al-Houthi: ‘Any Israeli presence in Somaliland is military target for our armed forces’

SANAA, Dec. 29 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, affirmed that any Israeli presence in the territory of Somaliland would be considered a legitimate military target for the Yemeni armed forces, describing it as an act of aggression against both Somalia and Yemen.

“We will not accept any part of Somalia becoming a foothold for the Israeli enemy at the expense of Somalia’s independence and sovereignty, or the security of the Somali people, the region, and the Red Sea,” the supreme leader of the Ansarullah movement said in a statement on Sunday evening.

He stressed that the Israeli enemy’s announcement recognizing Somaliland as a separate entity posts a hostile stance targeting Somalia and its African surroundings, and targeting Yemen, the Red Sea and the countries on both banks of the Red Sea.

”But the Israeli enemy will seek to expand the circle of recognition and cooperation with it from other parties and countries, and seeks to make Somaliland a foothold for hostile activities against Somalia, African countries, Yemen and Arab countries, threatening the security of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden,” he added.
