SANAA, Dec. 29 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, the supreme leader of Ansarallah movement in Yemen, confirmed on Sunday that the Israeli occupation’s announcement of its recognition of the Somaliland region as a separate entity is a hostile stance targeting Somalia and its African surroundings and targeting Yemen, the Red Sea and the countries on both banks of the Red Sea.
In a statement about the recent developments in Somalia, he described Israeli announcement as the aggressive Zionist move aimed at finding a foothold in Somalia to target the region, and also at fragmenting the countries of the region in a plan not limited to Somalia, but its declared title to change the Middle East.
Sayyed al-Houthi pointed out that the declaration of the Israeli enemy by itself was invalid and had no value in the balance of right and law, and it was an aggression with aggressive goals and a hostile program.
” But the Israeli enemy will seek to expand the circle of recognition and cooperation with it from other parties and countries, and seeks to make Somaliland a foothold for hostile activities against Somalia, African countries, Yemen and Arab countries,” he added. “The Israeli enemy threatens the security of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and works on further dismantling and fragmentation of other countries in the same way as it did in Somalia.”
The Houthi leader stressed the need for the Arab and Islamic position to be firm and serious in standing by Somalia and supporting the Somali people for thwarting the efforts of the Israeli enemy and putting pressure on the traitors who accomplices in the territory of Somaliland, as well as taking measures at the international level and taking a firm position from all international institutions in support of Somalia.
” We affirm our firm position with the brotherly Somali people against the Israeli enemy, and that we will take all possible supportive measures to stand with them, he clarified.
Sayyed al-Houthi considered any Israeli presence in the territory of Somaliland would be a military target for Yemeni armed forces, and an aggression against Somalia and Yemen, adding that this presence would be a threat to the security of the region.
“We will not accept that part of Somalia will become a foothold of the Israeli enemy at the expense of the independence and sovereignty of Somalia, the security of the Somali people, the security of the region and the Red Sea,” Al-Houthi warned.
He called on all countries on both sides of the Red Sea, as well as the Arab and Islamic world, to have practical steps and measures to prevent the Israeli enemy from taking advantage of Somalia and other Muslim and independent countries.
Sayyed al-Houthi also stressed the need for the entire nation to stand united to support the oppressed Palestinian people in confronting Israeli enemy’s plots that tries to target other countries.
