Saudi Arabia gives STC one-week deadline to withdraw from Hadramout, Mahra

RIYADH, Dec. 24 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has given the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) one week to withdraw from Hadhramaut and Mahra Governorates.

Media sources reported that the deadline for the STC to pull its forces is December 29, after which Saudi Arabia may take military action against them.

Sources added that among Saudi Arabia’s conditions is halting any escalation against the Presidential Leadership Council and the government; otherwise, international sanctions would be imposed on its leader, Aidarus al-Zoubaidi, and the STC would be designated as an entity obstructing Yemen’s political settlement.
