Israeli War Minister: We will not leave Gaza

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Dec. 23 (YPA) – Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced, on Tuesday, the Israeli government’s intention to expand settlements to include the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, confirming that “the Israeli entity will never withdraw from the Gaza Strip.”

 

Hebrew media quoted Katz, during his participation in the inauguration of a new settlement project, as saying that “the government plans to establish settlement nuclei in the northern Gaza Strip, to be done at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner.”

 

Channel 14 reported that Katz stressed the work to establish permanent settlement outposts in the northern Gaza Strip, while the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted him as affirming that the military and civilian presence in Gaza is “an irreversible strategic decision,” repeating: “We will never withdraw from the Gaza Strip.”
