‘Lapid’ calls for replacing Turkey, Qatar with Egypt in Gaza “stability force”

OCCUPIED QUDS, Dec. 21 (YPA) – The Israeli opposition leader, Yair Lapid, called on Sunday for the exclusion of Turkey and Qatar from the international stability and reconstruction force for the Gaza Strip, demanding their replacement with Egypt.

Lapid argued that Egypt should replace Qatar and Turkey, stating that Cairo is a “traditional enemy” of the Muslim Brotherhood rather than an ideological ally.

These remarks follow reports by Reuters quoting U.S. officials, who suggested that an international stability force could be deployed in Gaza as early as next January.
