Lapid calls for replacing Turkey and Qatar with Egypt for participation in stabilization force in Gaza

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Dec. 21 (YPA) – Israeli opposition leader, Yair Lapid, called on Sunday for Turkey and Qatar to be replaced as participants in the international stabilization force for the Gaza Strip.

Lapid said, “Qatar and Turkey should be replaced by Egypt. Egypt is the traditional enemy of the Society of the Muslim Brothers, not their ideological ally.”

Reuters quoted US officials as saying that the international stabilization force could be deployed in the Gaza Strip as early as January.
