Due to ongoing cold wave, meteorologists advise against all travel to mountainous highlands

SANAA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology advised against all travel to the mountainous highlands, due to the cold weather.

In its weather bulletin, the center warned of cold weather would hit the mountainous highlands (in the provinces of Saada, Omran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, and Ibb

It called citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the night to protect themselves because the cold weather.

The center also warned of a decrease in the horizontal visibility range due to the formation of fog on mountain roads.

The center advises against all visitors to the sea and fishermen south of the West Coast and Bab el-Mandeb of the disturbance of the sea and the rise of waves as a result of wind activity (its speed may reach 25 knots).

There are forecasts for the formation of cumulus clouds, which may be accompanied by scattered rains on parts of the western highland range.
