GAZA, Dec. 11 (YPA) -The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), has strongly rejected and condemned the report issued by Amnesty International, alleging that the Palestinian resistance committed crimes during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation against the criminal occupation army’s Gaza Division on October 7, 2023.
In a statement, Hamas explained that the motives for issuing this report are biased and suspicious, as it contains fallacies and contradictions with facts documented by rights groups, including “Israeli” ones.
The Movement indicated that those rights groups documented, among other things, “the claim of destroying hundreds of homes and buildings, which has been proven that the occupation itself destroyed them by tanks and aircraft, as well as the claim of killing civilians, whereas several reports confirmed that they were killed by occupation forces under its use of the “Hannibal” protocol.”
“The report’s repetition of the occupation government’s lies and allegations on rape, sexual violence, and mistreatment of prisoners, confirms beyond any doubt that the goal of this report is incitement and defaming the resistance through falsehoods and adopting the fascist occupation’s narrative, all of which were denied and refuted by numerous related international investigations and report,” the statement read.
Hamas demanded Amnesty International to retract this false and unprofessional report and avoid becoming complicit in distorting facts or conspiring with the occupation’s attempts to demonize the Palestinian people and their legitimate resistance, or trying to cover up the occupation’s crimes, which are under review by the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, under the titles of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
The Movement affirmed that the occupation government, since the first days of the war on Gaza, has prevented international organizations and UN bodies from entering the Gaza Strip and has banned independent investigation teams from accessing the field to examine facts and document violations.
