Aden gov’t declares suspending transport bus flights to Saudi Arabia

ADEN, Dec. 04 (YPA) – The pro-coalition Aden government declared on Thursday that urgent measures would be taken in conjunction with the expansion of factions affiliated with the UAE east of Yemen.

The General Authority for land transport in Aden said in a statement that the suspension of all transport bus flights heading from Yemen to Saudi Arabia, due to the tense security situation in the Al-Abr area leading to Al-Wadiah land crossing, located between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

The statement asked citizens wishing to travel to review the updates issued by the authority on whether the roads in the east of the country have become ready to cross or not.

While the movement of trucks between Yemen and Saudi Arabia has been stopped on the Al-Abr route due to sudden military developments in eastern Yemen.

Seiyun Airport announced last Tuesday the suspension of all flights to the airport against the background of security chaos as a result of the invasion of factions affiliated with the UAE to the Hadramout Valley, and the expulsion of factions affiliated with the Islah Party from the first military zone in Hadramout.

It should be noted that the UAE-backed factions carried out a new military operation, during which they took control of the Mahra province, east of Yemen, after they had managed to take control of the Hadramout Valley and Desert, within the framework of a scheme that aims at strengthening the efforts of the forces calling for the division of Yemen.
