Tarabin tribe affirms its alignment with resistance, rejects attempt to involve its name in Rafah events

GAZA, Dec. 04 (YPA) – The Tarabin tribe in the Gaza Strip issued a statement emphasizing its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, reiterating its rejection of any attempt to drag the tribe’s name into actions that do not relate to its morals and history.

The tribe stated that its members have always been and remain an integral part of the national fabric, affirming that it will not provide cover for any party seeking to incite strife or collaborate with the occupation. It noted its monitoring of the events that took place in the Rafah Governorate in recent days, considering the killing of Yasser Abu Shabab by the resistance as having “closed a chapter that does not reflect the history or positions of the Tarabin tribe.”

In its statement, the tribe clarified that Yasser Abu Shabab “betrayed his family’s covenant and became involved with the occupation,” emphasizing that the tribe has taken its clear stance on the issue and is committed to preserving its history and reputation within Gazan society.

The Tarabin tribe affirmed its complete alignment with the Palestinian resistance factions and its solidarity with the residents of the Gaza Strip in confronting the aggression, while simultaneously warning against any attempts to exploit the tribe’s name or its members to form groups that serve the occupation’s agenda.

The tribe concluded its statement by calling for strengthening unity among all families and tribes, and rejecting all attempts to undermine the Palestinian social fabric, stressing that “Gaza has no place for treason or collaborators, and that the Palestinian people are united behind their resistance until they achieve their full rights.”
