Cold weather continues to hit mountainous areas of Yemen

SANAA, Nov. 28 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology predicted on Friday cold to very cold weather in a number of mountainous provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center stated that a cold wave may hit the provinces of Saada, Omran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, Jawf and south of Marib.

It pointed out that the overall minimum temperatures would be lower than normal and range from 0 – 04 degrees Celsius, and a light tax on parts of it is not excluded.

While the weather may be cold in the heights of Hadramout, Shabwah, Taiz, Rayma, Mahweet and Hajjah.

The center warned citizens in the mountainous highlands of the cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the sick and workers during the night and early morning hours.

It advised farmers to take the necessary precautions to protect their crops of cold shocks.
