SYRIYA, Nov. 27 (YPA) – The central countryside of Quneitra, in southwestern Syria, witnessed on Thursday new Israeli military movements in recent hours, escalating tensions among local residents, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
These movements included a limited incursion by an Israeli military force of three vehicles via the road of the town of Umm Batna. Another Israeli patrol also established a temporary checkpoint on the road between the villages of Al-Qahtaniya and Umm Al-Ezam, briefly halting traffic.
The Syrian Observatory noted that the Israeli incursions, which included the movement of three four-wheel-drive vehicles towards the Samadaniya Al-Sharqiya intersection, are part of a series of repeated attacks in the Quneitra vicinity over recent months, raising fears among residents of expanded military activities near populated areas.
