OCCUPIED QUDS, Nov. 25 (YPA) – Israeli reports, notably by ‘Channel 15’ and the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, have revealed that work on a project to establish a secret railway line connecting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and “Israel” continued, even during the war on the Gaza Strip.
The Hebrew Channel 15 confirmed that the construction work for the line reached advanced stages and proceeded covertly during the war.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported that discussions regarding the “Peace Railway” project were renewed, noting a secretive trip by Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev to the UAE last week to meet her counterparts and discuss the project.
The project aims to establish a commercial path linking Asia to Europe, where goods would be transported from India to the Port of Abu Dhabi, then via a high-speed train passing through the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, reaching the Port of Haifa for subsequent distribution to Europe and the United States.
An agreement was reached to establish a special joint administration between senior officials from the UAE and Israeli railways to manage the transit of trains. Additionally, the administration will study an alternative crossing route between Jordan and “Israel” via the southern Dead Sea to avoid “political problems.”
