UAE reinforces its loyal armed factions in Shabwa with 394 new vehicles

SHABWA, Nov. 23 (YPA) – Informed local sources reported that the UAE reinforced its loyal armed factions in Shabwa governorate with approximately 394 new 2025 “Toyota Land Cruiser” vehicles.

This move follows a visit by the “Minister of Defense” in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition to Abu Dhabi last week.

The sources confirmed that 86 of these vehicles had already reached the “Shabwa Defense” factions via the Shahin border crossing in Mahra province, eastern Yemen, and were exempted from customs duties by directives from the Minister of Finance.

Documents showed that the shipment was entered under the name of the “Ministry of Defense,” despite the factions not being under the Ministry’s supervision.

This reinforcement comes amid an escalating struggle for influence between the UAE and Saudi Arabia through their local factions in the oil-rich eastern governorates.
