GAZA, Nov. 23 (YPA) -Gaza’s civil defence agency said on Sunday that “Israel” has demolished dozens of homes and residential blocks east of Gaza City since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10.
According to the agency, the demolitions are part of a series of ongoing violations of the agreement that ended a two-year war, despite the expectation that hostilities would cease.
It noted that the demolitions were carried out in areas under Israeli military control as stipulated in the deal, putting the agreement itself at risk.
The Civil Defense added that Israeli forces advanced 250 meters on Friday into areas from which they had previously withdrawn, forcing hundreds of families to flee their homes.
The displaced people are now crowded into areas inside Gaza City that lack basic services, facing extremely harsh humanitarian conditions.
It warned that the approaching winter could further worsen the crisis and endanger civilians unless urgent and meaningful intervention is undertaken to avert a humanitarian disaster.
