Sanaa: UN Security Council resolution on Gaza is “legitimization of foreign guardianship”
SANAA, Nov. 19 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Sanaa government considered the latest UN Security Council resolution regarding Gaza to constitute “the legitimization of foreign guardianship over the Palestinian people” and a “blatant violation of Palestine’s sovereignty.”
In a statement issued Tuesday, the ministry affirmed that the resolution clearly ignored the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the right to end the occupation, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent state.
The foreign ministry indicated that the United States, through the resolution, is attempting to achieve goals that the “Zionist entity” failed to realize through its genocide against the Palestinian people.
The statement criticized the Security Council’s persistent failure to halt the aggression and siege on Gaza.
Sanaa also called on Arab and Islamic countries to pressure for the inclusion of the Palestinian people’s rights in the resolution, rather than adopting positions that weaken the Palestinian stance.
The ministry reiterated that the Palestinian cause remains the central issue and that achieving peace is contingent upon ending the injustice against the Palestinian people.
